1 John 2:15-18 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the […]

Gen 9:11-17 11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be […]

Philip 4:19-20 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. 20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
According to His riches and not mine. Think of these verses for a moment. It is true that we have many needs. There are financial needs, physical needs, spiritual needs, emotional needs that we all have. Some are greater than others, some cause more worries than […]

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
One of the things I will give thanks for today is the will of God. At this point in my life and perhaps is yours things have greatly changed. Thanksgiving has long been my favorite holiday. Psalm 112:1-4 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, That delighteth greatly in his commandments. 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: And his righteousness endureth for ever. 4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness:
He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. One thing that is clearly lacking today is thanksgiving and […]

1 Thessalonians 5:18-19 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit.
As I look back over the past year there are many things for which it seemed impossible to give thanks at the time. Yet we have this clear command in 1 Thess 5:18 “In every thing give thanks”. There have been trials, sickness, spiritual battles from within as well as without. As a Pastor one […]

Psalm 138:1-7 I will praise thee with my whole heart:
Before the gods will I sing praise unto thee. 2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, And praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth:
For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. 3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, And strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. 4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, When they […]
