1 Cor 10:12-14 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Every Christian comes under temptation, that is common to man. But what to do when we face it? There are some temptations that we simply must endure. The physical trials and temptations of life we will all go through, they are common to all men. And as a person gets older they only increase. Some temptations we must flee from such as the temptation to sin. Remember Joseph and how he ran from the temptation of his masters wife? We all have things that tempt us and if given into will take us away from God and into sin. And some temptations we must face just as Jesus faced Satan in the wilderness. There are different ways that we must deal with temptation. Yet there is a common trait in all of these if we are going to find success. That is the Lord Jesus Christ. If we must endure we then draw our strength from the Lord. If we must run we then run to Him. If we fight we must do it in the power of the Spirit of God. Yes we will face temptation, that is common to man. But we also can have the victory in the Lord Jesus Christ.
