1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
We were looking at this verse and the faithfulness of God last week if you recall. We looked at the faithfulness of God in salvation and in His presence in the born again believer in Christ. This morning consider His faithfulness in listening to our prayers. The Bible commands us to pray. (1 Thess 5:17 Pray without ceasing.) Jesus commands us to pray. (Luke 18:1 […]
1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Thankful for the faithfulness of God in His presence. I was walking into a rest home to visit someone yesterday and stopped to talk to a lady in the entry way. When I asked her how she was she said she was fine, “But I wish I could get out of here”. Cold outside today I told here and she said “No, not today, but just […]
1 Thess 5:24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
Praise God for His faithfulness in salvation. People worry over what will happen when they die, will they go to heaven or not? Praise God for His faithfulness in salvation! All we need do is read the Word of God, believe it, repent, and receive the Lord Jesus Christ within calling out to Him in prayer for forgiveness of sin and salvation. My Bible says that […]
1 Thess 5:14-28 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. 15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit.
Luke 2:41-50 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.
42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they […]
Luke 2:8-20 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this […]
Ex 8:8-10 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the Lord. 9 And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in […]
Mark 7:1-6 Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem. 2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault. 3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders. 4 And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other […]
Ps 127 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. 2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. 3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. 4 As arrows are in the hand […]
John 18:1-8 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 2 And Judas also, which betrayed him, knew the place: for Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 4 Jesus therefore, knowing all things […]
