Ps 139:17-18 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.
How precious are the thoughts of God to the child of God? It is an interesting question in that not all who claim the name of Christ choose to walk with or dwell […]
2 Tim 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Matt 9:37-38 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Another reason to stir up the gift is because of the need of salvation. There […]
2 Tim 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
2 Tim 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, […]
2 Tim 1:6-9 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to […]
2 Tim 1:5-7 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Jer 33:1-3 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
2 Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name;
3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
One of the great promises of answered prayer in the Bible is […]
Matt 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
John 18:9 That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none.
Time to get lost this morning. Jesus used the word “Lost” several times in the gospels, […]
Phil 2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.
We live in a very selfish world today, a world that is concerned with self more than anyone or anything else, a world that has engulfed the Christian into this type of thinking and action as well. I know an individual who in over 60 years never spent a night in a hospital, enjoyed almost perfect health, and then an illness struck. All they could talk […]
Ps 119:169-172 Let my cry come near before thee, O Lord: give me understanding according to thy word. 170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word. 171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes. 172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.
What of when things are not going our way, when we can’t understand why things have gone the way they have, when […]
Ps 119:160-161 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. 161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
The Word of God give the believer in Christ truth that he can depend upon, a truth that will endure for all eternity, a truth that we can stand upon, and a truth that brings comfort at all times. How many things today can […]
