John 4:10-14 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Living water is spoken of three times in the New Testament, two of which we see in John 4:10 and John 4:11. Nothing can take the place of the living water that one finds in Jesus for it is a water that satisfies the thirsting soul. That woman needed that water and she found that water and was eternally satisfied. The other place we find living water is in this verse, also in the gospel of John. (John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.) Having found this living water why would I not want to share it with others? Having my soul satisfied why would I not want to share it with others? Having found what each and every one in this worlds needs, having found it to be satisfying, having found it to be free, why would in not want to share it with others? That is often the mystery of the one who has found this water, we know it will never run out, we know there is enough for all, yet many times we do feel that we should share it. Why not share the living water we have found?
