John 11:35 Jesus wept.
KJV
I was visiting with a senior saint a few years ago, a dear Christian who loved the Lord and I asked him his favorite verse in the Bible and he immediately said John 11:35. Do you want to know why he asked me and I answered that I did. He told me that when Jesus wept He wept for him. When he was lost Jesus wept until he trusted Jesus as his savior. When he is heartbroken Jesus still weeps for him. When he is discouraged Jesus still weeps for him. When he is going through storms in life Jesus still weeps for him. When he doesn’t understand Jesus still weeps for him. When his wife passed he knew Jesus was weeping for him. To him John 11:35 was one of the most important and deepest verses in the Bible for Jesus was still weeping for him in his hours of need. So profound was that truth that I carry it with me often today, Jesus wept and Jesus weeps for me today.
