Mark 4:36-40 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

Not much is said about the little ships that were with Jesus that night as the storm began to rage on that troubled sea because of who was in the greater ship. The disciples who would become apostles were in the greater ship, the men who would first take the gospel message to a lost and dying world were in the greater ship, men through whom the Holy Spirit would give the Word of God were in the greater ship, those who would do great and mighty things for the Lord, important men were in the greater ship. But those in the little ships were also following Jesus and were also saved from dying in the storm that night. Jesus cares just as much for you and me as any who call upon Him in times of trouble, any who follow Him. You don’t have to be in a greater ship to be important to our Lord, just trust Him and follow Him.
