Daily Devotions

Ps 118:21-24 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
23 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

What do you know about the day that is just now beginning to unfold? I know very little. I have things to do today, a schedule to keep if you would, but I know very little about this day or what it will hold. One thing I do know is that God has made this day and that nothing will happen today that will take my God by surprise. When I keep that truth in mind it brings a certain rejoicing to my heart. Will the doctor give a good report or bad report today? What tests or procedures will be on the horizon? I have plans for the day but no idea how this day will unfold, no one does. But when one goes to the Lord in praise and prayer to begin the day there comes a reassurance that all that takes place today is in the hands of our marvelous Lord and it will bring a rejoicing to all who know and follow Him.
