Matt 19:13-14 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.
14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Luke 18:16-17 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
KJV
Three times in the Bible we find the words “Forbid them not” and each time the reference is about bringing the young ones to Jesus. We being our week of Vacation Bible School this morning and the church house has been decorated, classes, teachers and helpers are set, crafts, games and snacks are all ready and we are asking the Lord to bless this week in a very special way. I am asking for your prayers as well for Satan will allow no work of the Lord to go unchallenged. There may be many obstacles that we have to get past this week, it is raining right now and there are some outside activities planned, three of our church members will undergo medical procedures this week, excuses can be made not to bring children out, but what we need to remember is that phrase “Forbid them not.” Please pray that the Word of God will be planted deep within young hearts, that souls will be saved, and decisions made for Christ.
