Prov 4:13-14 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.
14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
Prov 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
KJV
I remember as a young boy and then a teen growing up the instructions of my father and I would be left with a choice to make between the path he set before me and my own way. There were of course many times I chose to take my own path and that always lead to trouble and discipline from my earthly father. As I grew I began to realize dad only had my best interest at heart and if I would just stop and ponder I could see his path was the better one to take. Nothing changes spiritually as our heavenly Father has set a path for us to follow in His perfect and unchanging Word, a Word established by a loving and perfect God that leads to good and not evil if we choose to follow His path. But now as then I have a choice to make between the two paths set before me each day, God’s path or my own. Only one path leads to a shining light and a more perfect day. (Prov 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.) That is God’s path and not my own.
