Matt 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Rev 22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
KJV
First and last words are important in our world today and always have been. First and last times a name is found in the Bible is also important and we find in the first verse of the first book of the New Testament a name, the name Jesus. Then we find in the last verse of the last book of the New Testament the very same name, the name Jesus. Does that not suggest that there is no more important name, no more powerful name, no more loving name than the name of Jesus? 983 times you will find the precious name of Jesus in the New Testament and each time you read that name God is showing to you the love of Jesus, the power of Jesus, the grace and mercy of Jesus and above all the only name that can and will bring salvation to a lost and dying soul when that name is called upon in faith and believing. What is in a name? Not much in my name but so much and the more that it cannot be counted or weighed when that name is Jesus.
