KJV
I have always been moved as I read my Bible that the shortest verses in the Bible seem to say the most. The longest verse in the Bible is said to be Esther 8:9 (Est 8:9 Then were the king’s scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, on the three and twentieth day thereof; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded unto the Jews, and to the lieutenants, and the deputies and rulers of the provinces which are from India unto Ethiopia, an hundred twenty and seven provinces, unto every province according to the writing thereof, and unto every people after their language, and to the Jews according to their writing, and according to their language.) That is an important verse as one reads the book of Esther concerning the history of the Jewish people and this thought is not to take away from that for every Word of God is pure and important. But our verse for this morning takes in all people, all over the world, of all time and races with the word “Whosoever.” I praise the Lord Jesus Christ this morning for coming into this world, giving His life a sacrifice for sin, so whosoever can be saved. I thank Him today for saying great things with just a few words so many times.
