March 3rd, 2026 by Pastor SolleyPs 147:12-18 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.
14 He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.
15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
KJV
Another blast of winter here in our part of the world this morning as there is some rain and ice to contend with. I do thank the Lord for the changing seasons, for the beauty of a new fallen snow, for the sparkle of ice on the tree limbs and so on. I know my God is in control of all of those things and as He has the power and wisdom to control the ice and snow He has the power to control my life as I place it in His capable hands. I hear many people saying now they are tired of the winter, I most likely have said it many times myself. One thing I am NOT tired of is my God taking care of me. The ice that came this morning will melt as we see above and as I watch that take place I will once again be reminded that my God sent warmth to do that very thing. If the wind and rain, the snow and ice, the heat and cold obey His commands than I should as well and give thanks for all things. Even the ice this morning.
