Rom 1:15-18 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Yesterday mention was made of the Romans Road to salvation and for a few days we will walk along that road. In order to be saved one must know they are lost, know they are in danger. Our reading this morning speaks first of salvation in verses 16 & 17 and then of the wrath of God being poured out upon the ungodly in verse 18. But who are the ungodly? This road we are on tells us that we are all part of the ungodly. (Rom 3:10-12 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. ; Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;) We are all a part of the ungodly and that sin nature is one we are born with. (Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:) Most of us want to deny sin or that we are sinners. But all we have to do is look back on our lives as we find we have sinned many times over. We are sinners by nature and that nature allows us to be sinners by action. (Read all of Romans chapter one to see the actions of sin.) In order to be saved one must know they are lost. Can we see that you need to be saved today? Just look at your life as I can look at mine and there is more than enough evidence to prove we are sinners and need to be saved. (Tomorrow another mile on this road.)
