Hab 3:6 He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways are everlasting.

The word everlasting is found ninety seven times in the Bible. It is a wonderful word and can only be applied to God. I hear a variation of that word often when people use the word never. For example when people say they would never do anything like that, or that would never happen to them. I try and remind them that never in a long time and that none of us know what will happen tomorrow that may change our never. But God’s everlasting is truly everlasting, a never to God is a true never for our God and His ways are everlasting. Now apply that to our everlasting life. Apply that to our everlasting home in heaven. Apply that to His everlasting Word. We can thank God that His ways are everlasting. But there is also an everlasting judgment for those who never come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is an everlasting hell just as there is an everlasting heaven. There is an everlasting judgment just as there is an everlasting reward. I can thank God for His everlasting ways this morning and so can you if you are born again.
