Isa 48:10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.
KJV
The axe head floated, the mountain was made a plain as we have looked at the last two days. God is concerned with the smallest of things in our lives as well as the mountains set before us. Why is this so important for us to remember? Because we will be in the furnace of affliction many times while we live in this world. Others may see our problems as small ones, God does not. Others may look at the mountain in front of us and see no way over or around it, God does not. Whatever the affliction, however hot the furnace, our God knows, cares, and is the answer. What happens when we just trust in Him? We come out refined. That process is seldom pleasant while we are going through it but can be well worth it when we come out of that refining fire. Always remember, however small or large the trial may be, we are still His.
