Job 9:30 If I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean;
Ps 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Matt 28:3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
KJV
Our verses this morning have a common word, snow. There is a fresh fallen snow outside my window as I write this devotional this morning, one fitting for our fresh New Year. There is not a track to be found, I will make some later as I go for a walk, new tracks in the snow. It reminds of tracks I will make in this New Year. There are none to be seen at this moment, every track will be new, the old ones of last year covered up. What will my new tracks show? Will they reveal a walk close to Jesus, a walk of service, a walk of commitment and devotion? Or will they reveal a path of neglect, a worldly path, a path of sloth? New tracks will be made this year just as new tracks will be made in the snow this morning, what will they reveal about the path we are following?
