December 12th, 2018 by Pastor SolleyGal 4:4-6 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
KJV
The fulness of the time, the perfect time for Jesus Christ to come into the world, the perfect time for the Son to be given. It was also the perfect time for the Holy Spirit to be given. Now the Holy Spirit was not given is His present ministry until after the resurrection of Jesus Christ and His ascension back into heaven. This is recorded for us in Acts chapters one and two, but it was the perfect time. In order for the Holy Spirit to work in lives men and women who have been convicted by Him must repent and trust Jesus Christ as their personal savior, then be yielded to the Holy Spirit. Why was it the perfect time? Because people were searching for that which was missing in their lives, people wanted a personal relationship with God, people were looking for salvation. We see that with the thousands being saved in Acts. As was stated two days ago, people have little interest today in God, in wanting a relationship with God. With all that we see taking place today one would think that just the opposite, that people would be seeking out the Lord, but not so. Our special meetings this week at Cherry Corner are proof of that as many families who seek out my help as pastor also ignore the revival services. Why? Because they want God’s help but do not want God bothering in their lives. People ignore the conviction and moving of the Holy Spirit today and hinder His working in their lives.
