Ps 66:16-20
16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

What great things God has done for us. If I were to begin this morning to name the things God has done for me over the years I would be at my desk for days on end. As John wrote under inspiration of the Holy Spirit the things done by God could not be held in all the books in the world, the things He has done for me. The greatest of those is ongoing, He hears and answers my prayers. What a tremendous truth that God has not turned away my prayer. I have done nothing to deserve the ear of God, can do nothing, but God hears and answers my prayers. What a wonderful truth that is and with that in front of every born again child of God shouldn’t that then encourage us to pray?
