God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

There are some remarkable passages in the Psalms, some tremendous truths set before us. Take our relationship with God through Jesus Christ for instance. Notice verse 6 above, the Bible tells us that he can be our God. This speaks of relationship, a close relationship. I introduce my wife as “My wife”, my children as “My children. When they were alive my parents as “My mom, my dad.” It all implies a very close relationship. Well, He is “My God.” Again this speaks of relationship, a close relationship. But it will only be as close as I want it to be. It is close when I spend time with my God, when I talk with my God, when I follow my God, that relationship is as close as I want it to be. How close do you desire to be to your God? Do you claim ownership of Him, talk often with Him, abide in Him? How close is that relationship? God will bless those who enter into that close relationship with Him, all who do not desire that type of closeness with God miss much more than they will ever know.
