He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

The Psalmist waited patiently for the Lord. What was his reward? Very few people exercise any patience at all today. They go through drive through because they don’t want to wait. God to the ATM because they don’t want to wait. Tailgate because they don’t want to wait. We live in a world that has run out of patience. Yet we see the Psalmist waiting patiently on the Lord. Think for a moment of what that means. He did not get what he needed, what he wanted, what he desired at once, he had to wait and wait with patience. He did not demand, did not complain, did not throw a fit, he waited. What is your patience level today? How many things are you willing to wait for? Patience is something that needs to be a part of the character of a Christian, yet something lacking is so many today. The Psalmist is going to be rewarded for his patience. Will God reward you for yours?
