26 Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
Acts 2:21-24
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

One reason we can be filled with joy and rejoicing all this New Year is the “Whosoever shall call” of salvation. (Acts 2:21) I do not promote self esteem or the self worth of man and neither does the Bible. There are many false preachers on the scene today who do promote the Satanic doctrine of self worth and self esteem, but it is not Biblical. The Bible tells us exactly who and what we are, sinners with depraved hearts headed for and deserving hell. The Bible also points out that there is nothing we can do about that. There is nothing in man worth saving, cased closed. But Jesus Christ died for us as unworthy as we are, and Jesus died for all, and all can be saved. I am so happy today for the whosoever will of salvation. Think this morning of what it took to provide salvation, what it took to save you, and how much Jesus Christ loves you. If you take time to really think about that you will become filled with rejoicing. How can I do anything but rejoice when I think of salvation and the one who loves me so?
