9 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Gen 11:1-6
11 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.
2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.
3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

How long after the flood did it take for man to once again ignore and disobey the Word of God? Most likely it began in the very same year man came out of the Ark and continued for just a few generation until God had to move in judgment. Here at the tower of Babel God confounds the languages and makes man scatter throughout the earth as God command when Noah and his sons came out of the Ark. That again begins a pattern of unbelief that leads to death and destruction. We are now rushing to the coming judgment because of disobedience to the Word of God. This paints a bleak picture for man does it not? Did you know it doesn’t have to be that way? Lord willing next week in our devotions we will look at the results of obeying the bible, at taking God at His Word. We do have choices to make each and every day. What will you decide to do with the Bible today?
