1 Sam 2:10
10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
KJV
It is amazing to me how people fight against God and all that is Godly in this present world, how they invite evil and trouble into their lives. A local municipality recently decided that is chosen they would allow the state to put a mini casino in their town. This same town in celebration of the holiday season hosted a wine walk on their streets. Their reason for both is to promote business and help the town because they are in some trouble financially. Instead of inviting trouble by promoting drunkenness and gambling, why not look to the God of heaven for help? Why not pray, promote goodness and Godly activities? Yes I know I am a prude, but why not try and do things God’s way and see if the Lord would bless? But thin why not try and practice that in our lives individually as well? When we are troubled why not make sure we are doing all that God wants us to do? Why not pray, read our Bibles, be in the house of God as we should, be around God’s people, do what we know we should before the Lord? Often we do the same things as the town above is doing. Perhaps not in the same way, but in that same spirit. Don’t turn away from the Lord and look for other ways out of our troubles, look to Him and His way for deliverance.
