5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
KJV
I want to thank the Lord as well for His unchanging nature. That tells me that what He has done for others He will do for me. That is not just a few words from a song to me, it is as great a comfort as I could ever have. Who took care of Daniel, of Elijah, of the prophets of old? The same one who cares for me. Who comforted Mary and Martha, restored Lazarus, stood with them in their darkest hour? The same one who comforts me. Who provided for Peter, for the others in their hour of need? The same one who provides for me. Thank Him today for His unchanging nature, that Him that He is an unchanging God.
