Lam 3:24-26
24 The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.
26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
KJV
There are very few things, if any I like to wait for. But the Bible tells us here that it is “Good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.” There are some things worth waiting for. I have been saved for 49 years now and I never tire of waiting for the Lord, waiting for the day salvation will be complete. Now as believers we are completely saved when we repent from sin and trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross, that matter is settled the moment we call upon the Lord. But I am still waiting today for that salvation to be made complete and that will happen when I stand with Jesus, when I see face to face the one who gave His life for me. I find in this troubled world it is good to wait, good to hope and wait for the salvation of the Lord. As I go about my business today I will have an eye on heaven, I will find myself thinking different time throughout this day of the Lord, of heaven, and of salvation. That will both encourage me and help me to walk with Jesus through this day. I find it is good to wait on the Lord.
