15 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

It seems to be that many people reverse the order of what we see here, thinking that God receives life from them and not the other way around. Why do I say that? Because of the many who live and act in a manner not pleasing to God and think it doesn’t matter to God. Because of the many who think they can tell God what to do and order God to do things for them. Because of the many who are indifferent to the Word of God and the place His Word is to have in their lives. Think about it a moment. Will you take time today to seek the guidance of God as you go to work, to school? Will you ask His to direct your path, to guard your eyes, to keep you from evil? Will you ask for His protection and provision today? Or will you go through the day and never consider God just thinking that God must take care of and protect you? Are you getting your life from Him, or do you act as if He gets His life from you?
