11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
KJV
This same Jesus indicates who it is that will return to this earth one day, soon I hope. It also indicates, at least to me, the changes in the Jesus every eye shall see one day. On Sunday I asked a young man who Jesus is and he answered “He is the God of everything.” That same Jesus is the one who came to this earth the first time but very few saw Him as that. He was born, and that was not His beginning, in a small town, in a manger, to a mother and Joseph who were not of the upper class but poor common folks. He was greeted by the lowing of animals and shepherds from the surrounding hillside. Not a very fancy beginning for the King of kings and Lord of lords. That same Jesus is coming again, but not in that same manner. The first phase of His Second will be the grandest gathering, bring the loudest praising of God that this world has ever seen. But the world will not see it because it will take place in the air. Will we recognize Him when we meet Him? Yes we will, but He will not look like many imagine Him and certainly not as the world portrays Him. What will He look like? We see that in the book of Daniel and Revelation and we will look at that tomorrow, we will see Him as He is.
