1 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
4 Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, out of the hand of the unrighteous and cruel man.
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord God: thou art my trust from my youth.
KJV
As people search for answers for what happened in Las Vegas a few days ago some are asking a question, not why, but is there hope for America? That answer is yes, but for hope to be realized the problem must be identified. The reason that tragedy took place, the reason for the troubles of our nation can be stated in one word, sin. It sin that is at the root of all of our problems, each and every one of us, not some, but all. If that sin is not taken care of it leads to a complete destruction of people, families, and even a nation. What is the answer? More gun laws, more security checks, none of those type of things will work. The answer lies in a person, hope lies in a person, hope can be found in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is my hope today and I pray He is yours as well. How can we be delivered from the wicked? Our hope is in the Lord. How can we be string? Our hope is in the Lord. Where can we find safety and refuge from the storms of life? Our hope is in the Lord. What the shooter needed was Jesus Christ. That is the same need of those suffering and trying to recover today, Jesus Christ.
