Rom 3:9-18
9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
KJV
There is a great divide in our nation today, greater than this preacher has ever seen. Even those who have never demonstrated it before are now showing a bitterness to others, are looking at people differently. How should we look at people, how does God see them? We find in our text this morning that God looks upon all people the same, Jews and Gentiles, they are all under sin. (Verse 9) The above ten verses give us a description of the heart of all men, all alike before God, all with the same problem, sin, and all going toward the same end, hell. But all have the same solution to that sin problem as well. It is not government, not protests, not random acts of violence, the answer to the problem is found in one person, and it is not the President of the United States. The answer is Jesus Christ and over the next few days we will see just how complete that answer is.
