Rev 14:13-14 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
KJV
Yester day was Labor Day, a day when many if not most were able to rest from their labor. Today people are back to work. There is a time coming when all work will cease in this world for the Christian, a time when we stand before the Lord Jesus Christ as we enter into our rest. My question is this, what type of works will follow you into heaven? We will stand before the Lord in judgment for what type of worker we were for Him in this world, our works in and for Christ are going to follow us to heaven. Many can look back on the past year and see how hard they worked, Labor Day was for them. When you look back as a Christian can you see much or little done for the Lord? Would God give you a Labor Day holiday?
