Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
KJV
The word father is found 979 times in the Bible, the last in our verse for today. I want to wish all the fathers a happy Father’s Day on Sunday and leave you with this thought and challenge. I will one day see my father in heaven as he has passed from this earth and stepped into eternity. I will see him there because he was born again, and also because I am born again. I say that to thank him now for the foundation he laid down for me to follow, the spiritual foundation. I learned many things from my father, the most important being that I needed to come to Jesus Christ in repentance and seek His forgiveness for my sin. That is the foundation I have tried to lay down for my son so one day he can say that he will see me in haven. What foundation are you laying down?
