Daily Devotions
June 15th, 2017 by Pastor Solley1 Cor 16:13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
Dan 6:9-11 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

The man who stands must also be a man who kneels. Daniel in his lifetime stood against three world rulers when they wanted him to succumb to their wishes. This all began in his home when he was a child I am sure, and then is punctuated by his purposed heart as seen in Dan 1:8. Men, if we are going to stand we must be willing to kneel, willing to pray, willing to call out to our great God and savior, call out to Jesus Christ. Prayer is one of the hardest things I have to maintain in my Christian walk. Not that I don’t pray, I pray all through the day and night. But to have that personal time when nothing interrupts, when nothing gets between my heart and the heart of God, to have that time of deep devotional prayer, it is difficult. Yet it is vital to our walk as Christian men. Daniel knew it, John knew it, Paul knew it, they all knew how important is was and is to pray. If we want to stand we must be willing to kneel.
