Ps 66:17-20 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
KJV
It is a blessed truth that God’s mercy is never turned away from us. There are times when we hinder our prayers, when we limit the hand of God by our actions and thoughts. But even then His mercy is not turned away. It is the mercy of God that allows us to come before Him in repentance seeking forgiveness, first in salvation, then for a daily cleansing from sin. It is His mercy that allows God to hear us time and time again as we confess our faults before Him. It is the mercy of God that allows us to be restored to a state of fellowship with God. It is His mercy that is never withdrawn from His own. How I praise Him for His mercy today, how I thank Him for His mercy yesterday, and how I look forward to His mercy tomorrow. [praise God for His mercy bestowed upon us.
