38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

What is it to be justified before God? It is to be made “Just as if we never sinned.” This is what people look for today when they think of God, when they think of where they will spend eternity, how can they be justified. Churches were filled with people yesterday looking for justification, many of them following false gospels of works in order to make themselves fit for God. Other try and be justified without the church, reforming their lives in hope that God will be pleased with them. Still others are indifferent to justification, thinking that all go to a better place when they die. But how does justification come? It comes in a person, it comes to sinful man through the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone. There are no works that we can do, no law that we can fulfill, nothing can make one right before God except Jesus Christ. Job asked that question thousands of years ago, “Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?” That answer is no, justification comes only in Jesus Christ. I want to look at justification over the next few days. For today, if you are saved, thank Jesus for making you just in the eyes of the Father.
