Ps 105:1-5 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
KJV
Those that seek the Lord must also do so on a consistent basis. Notice in verse four, they “Seek His face evermore”. Not only does that indicate a full effort, but a continuous effort as well. We seem to run hot and cold do we not? People committed to the Lord, reading His Word, prayer, in the house of God when the doors are open, people on fire for the Lord, seeking the Lord. Then the water turns cold it seems. Bible reading and prayer become a sometime thing, church services are hot and miss, the water seems to turn cold. Then people wonder why the Lord seems so far away. God has not moved, they have stopped seeking Him. If Satan can do anything to hinder the believer it is to have him or her stop seeking after the Lord for when that happens we do turn cold and God does seem far away. It does take a constant effort to keep in tune with the Lord, we must seek Him daily, there needs to be a continuous effort on our part. Could it be said of you that you seek Him evermore? If that answer is no then it is time to start today.
