February 16th, 2017 by Pastor SolleyRom 8:18-23 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

There are a lot of sufferings in this world. I had one funeral service this week, have visited in two hospitals and nursing homes, talked to others with health problems, am dealing with sickness in my own home both long term and short, there are a lot of problems in this world. What does the Christian do to find encouragement? We look to a different home and a different time in the not so far off future, we look to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the rapture of the church and then to eternity. Friend, that will life your spirits if you allow it. But we must fix our eyes on heaven, we must fix our eyes and heart on the Lord. There are many who claim to know Jesus Christ but never lift their eyes above the trouble of this world. That is a very sad truth and the reason so many who claim to know the Lord lack the peace of God in their lives. There is a lot of suffering in this world to endure, but there is a lot more glory to look forward to.
