February 13th, 2017 by Pastor SolleyRom 8:15-17 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

It is a wonderful to know that one is saved, born again, and on the way ton heaven. But so many have false views of salvation. The Calvinist think that it is not for everyone which is wrong, and the Armenians think all can have it but that it can be lost, that is also wrong. What does the Bible teach? The Bible teaches all can have salvation, that it is a free gift from God through Jesus Christ for all who believe and receive. (2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.) I have never had this explained to me by one who does not believe salvation is for all in a way that does not deny the clear teaching of the Bible. This week I want to address the fact that eternal salvation means exactly that, that once we have it, once we have been saved, we will never be lost. Begin this morning with what you did to obtain salvation. What work was it that brought it, what good deed, what church, what program, what brought your salvation? It was a free gift offered to you through Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone, and when you repented of sin and asked Him to save you He did. (Rom 8:1-2 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.) Now that you have salvation, what do you need to do to keep it? That is the thought for the day, what do you need to do to keep your salvation?
