Rom 8:26-28 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
KJV
Help from within, if this were a message that would be the title. The Holy Spirit of God is within each and every child of God and one reason He indwells us is to help us in time of need. We have a tendency to be independent, most people do. I remember when our children were young, and I see it in my grandchildren, a desire to be independent. They would begin something and I knew they needed help, but when I would try and assist them, or when I do try and assist them in the case of my grandchildren, they would refuse my offers to help. They wanted to be independent and that is a good thing to a point. But after a while they would sit amidst failed attempts frustrated, so dad or pap as is the case now would step in and help. Why not take help from the beginning? It is a good illustration of a person and their walk with the Lord, we have one standing there to help and help He can if we allow Him. Why not take everything, big things, little things, to the Lord in prayer? Why not ask for help in every decision we have to make? Why not allow Him to take over our lives? Now it is good for children to learn to be independent, to allow them to do things on their own. But that does not apply to the Christian and our walk and relationship with the Lord. Jesus Himself tells us “Without me ye can do nothing”, so why not allow Him, why not allow the Holy Spirit to take over in our lives and help us as He wants to?
