Daily Devotions
February 1st, 2017 by Pastor SolleyWas away all day yesterday beginning a little before 3:00AM to various hospitals and doctors offices, that was way no devotional.
Jer 1:8-10 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
9 Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
KJV
God let Jeremiah know right away that there was going to be opposition and troubles over His Word that Jeremiah was to preach. That my friend will never change, not as long as faithful men faithfully proclaim the true Word of God. However God tells us there is no need to fear. (Verse 9) Jeremiah was cast into prison, Paul was stoned, Daniel was cast into the den of lions, all for the same crime, preaching the Word of God. Did they ever get discouraged? We see that they did from time to time, but none of them ever stopped. That is what needs to be seen in the world today, men and women who will be faithful. I listened to a feminist spokeswoman say that our nation is being turned back 100 years of more. What she needs is to hear an amen from God’s people, faithful men and women who will stand up and give here the truth of the Word of God. Don’t be afraid, the same God that gave that order to Jeremiah gives it to you.
