Job 23:10-14 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.
11 My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined.
12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
13 But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth.
14 For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.
KJV
It is a reassuring thought to this preacher that God knows the way that I take and more than that, God also has a way appointed. (Verses 10 & 14) Now, how can God get me to go the way that He has appointed? It may be at times through trials, at times through blessings, at times through testing and so on and so forth. God would have me walk in a way appointed. Job found this out through many hard trials all coming in a short period of time. Moses is another who found this out, but for Moses in a different way. Forty years in the home of Pharaoh, Moses had blessings. The forty years in the wilderness, but what it a wilderness for Moses? Moses found a wife, had children, got accepted into and along with her family. It could be seen as another forty years of blessings. But God was moving Moses to what was appointed for him. My point being that all the things that take place in our lives do not surprise God, He knows the way that we take. God is also using those things to move us to an appointed place. Think of how God is preparing you for a good work for Him, how God moves you to an appointed place. Job found that out, Moses as well, He knows the way that we take and is moving us to an appointed place.
