Daily Devotions

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
KJV
My daughter and I were sitting in my tree stand yesterday, we saw three bucks, none of them legal, and a lot of does. After she left along toward evening a legal buck walked into the field to feed in front of me. I watched it for a long time before deciding to pass it by and I was thinking about the devotional yesterday morning. A mighty hunter would not have left it go, he would have taken the deer presented to him, the deer that approached him. I am so happy this morning that the Lord Jesus Christ never passes over a sinner that has approached Him, that all can be saved and that He wants all to be saved. I like the words “Not any” and “All” in the above verse. Jesus is not only able and willing, He does take all who come to Him and He calls all to Him.
