Ps 127:1-2 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

These verses are on my mind this morning. I woke up at 7:25AM today refreshed after a good nights sleep. That may seem like a very little thing except when one has not been able to sleep for some time. For varied reasons I have not been able to sleep good at night, Sleep for a few hours, wake up, sleep for an hour wake up, sleep for a little and wake up, that has been the pattern. But last night I went to sleep and was able to rest and that is a big thing to me this morning. My point is that our Lord will give us what we need, even the little things, the things that seem to have been escaping us, the things that we need. We need then to give Him thanks for that. The first thing I did when my eyes opened and I saw that it was daylight was thank Jesus for being able to sleep. How many things do you thank Him for during the day? Most of us take the things we need and just go on never thinking to thank the one who gave them to us or allowed us to have them. Take time today to thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the little things He blesses you with.
