Matt 13:18-23 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

This passage from the first message last evening at our camp. I chose it because of the word “Sixty” in verse 23 which is the number of campers we have this year. This is the largest number of campers since we have moved to our own property a few years ago. We are off to a good start, just a few minor first day glitches. A couple of bunks to repair, hot water adjustments and so on. We now have full plumbing, showers, sinks and toilets and all seems to be working well. We have a large number of first time campers and they seem to be happy to be with us. One twisted ankle yesterday is the extent of injury, they did a lot of running last evening in a water game after chapel. Today we look for and ask for God’s blessings and continue to ask for your prayers. A few campers last evening expressed an interest in salvation. I will let you know how things are going spiritually as well. It often takes a day or two before the world is shut out and the Holy Spirit gains control of the hearts of the campers.
