Num 2:1-3 And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2 Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father’s house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
3 And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.
KJV
Our standard needs to be Jesus Christy. In Israel all stood with their standard and so do we need do the same thing today. Men have changed the standard of the bible, of the gospel and they seek to do the same with Christ. Think of how Jesus Christ is presented by many today, the same ones who have changed the Bible and the gospel. He is one who tolerates every thing, accepts everyone just the way they are, is approving of every different lifestyle and action that people have. Jesus is so unassuming that He would never try and force a standard of holiness on anyone, He allows everyone to just be themselves. Nothing could be farther from the truth than those statements. Jesus Christ is the holy, righteous God of eternity, Jesus Christ set the standard of the Bible and the true gospel message. Jesus will not tolerate sin, receive each and everyone just the way they are without their repenting, does not approve of every new fad and lifestyle, and does demand that all who wish to come to Him meet His demands on them. That is different than the Jesus people want today. The problem is that just as man has perverted the Bible and the gospel, they do the same with Christ. Jesus is the standard and that standard has never changed. Read of Him and the standard in the KJB.
