Eph 1:12-14 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Another part of our spiritual blessings is this gift of promise, the Holy Spirit of God who indwells ever born again believer in Christ. Other than salvation itself He is the most important blessing that we have. I say that because He is our seal, our earnest, our guarantee of salvation. One reason we can know that we are saved, that we have assurance of salvation in our heart is the Holy Spirit, for He is the one that bears witness to us that we are saved according to Romans 8.When I awoke this morning the very first thing I thought about was reading my Bible and prayer. With so many other things going on, so many things to do each day, why think of those things first? Because of the Holy Spirit within. He guides each day my reactions to different things. Why will I not yell at and get into a fight with the driver that cuts me off? I may want to in my flesh but the Holy Spirit is within to calm me. Why not return railing for railing as I often want to do? The Holy Spirit is within to give me proper words to say. Why can I read the Bible and get something out of it when so many others say it is impossible to understand? The Holy Spirit within. And why can I bow my head in a few moments and know that my voice is heard in the very throne room of God and even know it will be answered? The Holy Spirit of God. What a spiritual blessings He is.
