John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
KJV
Everlasting life, what does it mean? It means that our salvation is eternal, it is sure, it can never be lost. Calvin believed that not all could be saved, another of the reformers believed that salvation can be lost, the latter is just as wrong as the former. Jesus believed that all can be saved because he died for all and wants all to be saved. (John 3:16) Jesus also said that salvation could not be lost, that new life in Christ is everlasting. (John 3:16) I laid my head upon my pillow last night knowing that if I never woke up in this world that I would in heaven because He and He alone gave me everlasting life. It is a sad thing that many who profess to know Jesus Christ as savior worry over keeping Him, worry over having to hold onto Him and His free gift of salvation. Remember dear one, we are placed in His hand, not Him in ours. (John 10:28-30 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
