March 7th, 2016 by Pastor Solley1 Cor 2:9-14 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

I was invited to the planning stages of a Bible conference a few years ago and it was stated that they wanted the men who were going to speak to go into the “Deep things of God”. The planners of the conference wanted something that would be a help to the preachers and other learned men at the conference, the deep things, not so much the things for ordinary Christians. That was the last meeting I attended because I consider myself an ordinary Christian at best and sometimes, perhaps most of the time, less than ordinary. But I got to thinking about the deep things of God and to me they are very tings that the Holy Spirit will give to ever Christian, not just to those who others see as learned men. Consider the love of God that is freely given to all and to me the deepest verse in the Bible. (John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.) If you want to look into the deep tings of God then study this verse and meditate upon it for it is one of the deepest verses in the Bible. This will be our verse for the remainder of this week and if you do nothing else spiritual today just think on this verse over and over again. For God so loved the world, for God so loved the world, for God so loved the world. Look at the world we are living in today and try to comprehend that truth, for God so loved the world. Just think on that today and we will begin a walk through this verse tomorrow morning.
