Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Yesterday we noted that the ever abiding presence of Christ in our lives helps us love as we should. (Verse 1) This morning I notice that the abiding presence of Christ helps us be hospitable. (Verse 2) Few people want to be courteous or hospitable in this day and age. Hold the door for a stranger and the chances are they will walk through and never say than you. Let someone out of a parking lot and they seldom wave a thank you as more and more cars try and squeeze through the gap. If you don’t tail gate the car in front of you someone will cut you off. Very few people are hospitable and even fewer appreciate it when you are. But when you have Christ within there is one to help you put on that smile and say hello to people, to hold doors, to let others go first and so on and so forth. What is the importance of that? One things is found in the text in verse two, perhaps God has sent one to us to test or help us. Another reason being you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. How can I witness to one about Christ if I a not hospitable toward them? Allow Christ to help you put on that smile, greet people, place them before yourself, allow Christ to help you entertain angels unawares.
