Ps 121:1-3 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
KJV
All week we have looked at when Satan will attack the child of God and I want to remind you this morning that there is a constant, something that never changes in our spiritual battle, and that is the Lord. He is there for us at every turn and we need to lift our eyes up to Him. Elijah forgot for a time where he needed to look for his help. (Ps 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.) I like the words in this verse “Very present”. Our God is never far from us and is there to be our help and stay. Why is it then we will often look to others or other means first? At the moment Jezebel put out the contract to have Elijah killed the prophet needed to be in prayer, not running away. I am not being hard on the prophet for I have run away and tried to hide many times myself and the threat to me was not that of Elijah. We do my friend have to remember where we need to look and who is there to help us. (Ps 46:1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.)
